AP Biology Book Report Grading Rubric
Reading is so important for learning so, I have devised a way for you to learn more about complicated biological concepts by reading captivating books by my favorite author, James Rollins. You may choose between one of two of his books: "Black Order" or "The Judas Strain".

Visit: James Rollins' Website

I highly recommend your continued reading of the Rollins books or any books you find interesting. the more you read, the more you learn :-)

"Amazonia" was the first James Rollins book I ever read and it got me hooked on this author. I have since read ALL of his books which is a major accomplishment for a non-reader. Believe it or not, the cover attracted me one fateful evening when I was walking through a book store in Palm Desert. This book is full of suspense, genetically mutated animal species, vegetation, native tribes, and it is action packed! The epitome of a "page turner", "Amazonia" may just get you hooked on this author as it did me!

"The Judas Strain" refers to a species that is capable of causing the extinction for one or more other species. This book follows in sequence to the other assigned book, "Black Order". The Judas Strain starts off hooking you and never lets up! Read about this adventure on James Rollins' website or the book cover in my classroom.

"Black Order" will bend your mind and make you really take a look at this fragile thing we call 'life'. I read this book for the second time this summer and couldn't put it down! One of Rollins' best, "Black Order" will surely captivate you!

I suggest that you read the introductions for both books before making your choice. Also, there is nothing wrong with reading both of them Enjoy! (if you do plan on reading both, read "Black Order" first)
